Urgent Care Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
Role: Urgent Care Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
Type: Full-time, on-site.
Location: Bradenton, FL.
Availability: Immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care: Evaluate and manage acute and subacute conditions for patients ages 6 months and older.
Clinical Practice: Obtain medical histories, perform focused physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
Urgent Procedures: Perform common procedures such as wound care, splinting, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal.
Management & Teamwork: Prescribe medications, provide clear patient education, document encounters in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and collaborate with the team or coordinate higher levels of care when necessary.
Key Qualifications
Licenses: Current PA or NP license in the State of Florida with appropriate national certification.
Experience: Background in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care (including pediatric experience for 6+ months).
Skills:
Strong clinical assessment and urgent procedure capabilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Excellent, empathetic communication skills.
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and timely documentation.
Additional Assets: Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory care; bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are highly valued.
